During the course of the year, Olex has attempted to contain costs and minimise pricing adjustments in a difficult and challenging market.
However, the differential that exists between our costs and the market price for cables can no longer be sustained and it is now necessary that we advise our customers of impending price increases to our cable range.
Olex will increase prices by approximately 4.5% on 1 October 2010 for building wires as well as other cables including orange circulars and XLPEs. The Olex Trade Price List for the month of October 2010 will reflect these changes and be published on 24 September 2010. In addition, download files will also be distributed on this date. A further price adjustment will occur in November and the quantum of that adjustment will be communicated in due course.
As you know, Olex usually informs our customers of pricing changes five working days before the end of the month, but in this case we believe that it is important to provide you with more advance notice. Please be aware that any orders for delivery in September will be charged at September prices.
